Our 79 Monte Carlo- Pro Touring Project

AFR heads just came in, 195cc SBC "Eliminator" with 65cc combustion chambers. Should be crisp down low and pull hard through 6500rpm.

The engine is still at the machine shop but we are hoping to pick it up tomorrow and start assembling.

New wheels just came in. We will be running the Boss 338's again this year, they are a semi-inexpensive wheel and the best part is they are Made in the USA. We originally ran 18x8 up front but this year we will be running 18x9.5 and 275's on all 4 corners. We decided to try the black this time, unfortunately they don't offer a satin or flat.

While on the lift we are also updating a few suspension items and preparing for the engine swap next week.

looks like your new pipes have a ball and socket collector. The ball and socket works great and never leaks. I'm even had my bolts back off and it just a very slight leak and nice thing is no gasket to blow out so just tighten up the bolts and away I go.
I used those in my hotrod pickup- I put springs from a 90's chevy truck exhaust system in it- No more leaks 🙂
