Photo request ... lowering springs

Plenty stiff.
579 up front and 167 rears. Anymore stiff than that is overkill.

I ran Moog 5660 which are 639 and they sat the car too high (close to stock), and the rate was too much.

I could have been mistaken, but I thought he said it was for bucket springs (not coilovers). We were talking about in regards for my car being oriented towards auto-x.

Hotchkis and Eibach springs are rated around 600 for the front and around the mid-100's for the rear. Even at that I have heard several people saying that they are on the softer/street side of things. Heck, Hotchkis and Eibach both told me that exact thing when I called to see about spring rates. Eibach over the phone said they didn't have spring rates, but a dealer I called gave me some numbers, so go figure on that one.

Anyway, point is that if say 600/170 is a "street" spring then I don't think that 700/250 would be unrealistic for a "street/auto-x" car.

That does sound about right, but that would also be a bone jarring ride - at least on the streets around here. The Moog 5660's I ran felt very stiff, granted I had cheapo Monroe shocks. And I also test fit the Moog 5413's and jumped up and down in the trunk (talk about junk in the trunk!) And they barely budged. But if do go with that much of a spring, run Bilsteins are a better shock for sure.

On my old 81 (Iraqi Taxi) Malibu with a 350 I had the bell tech spindles and stock hd springs and rear bell tech springs and it looked good with a good ride nice stance.
