Fixed that for you. It's an 85 and it should have 5A heads. NON-roller engine if it's original. Also, if original carb, there is a "5" overstamp of the 17084554 application year number to change it to 17085554. Also the code letters got stamped over from 84. It may come with a mid-84 production date. It was simply an 84 H/O carb that got restamped. Only time I'm ever aware that they used specific carryover parts for production, although the carbs were normally produced AFTER the 84 H/O run. Confusing, but true. I have a couple of restamped original 85 442 carbs out in the shop. IIRC, one of them has a July 84 production date code.
Damn shame someone let that one go like that... When I think "mid 80's 442" thats the exact car that pops in my mind.. T-Tops, Buckets, Gray/Gray...
