Hi guys, if you have them handy (or can get under your cars in the next few weeks/months), I’d like to see some underbody pics of dual exhausts on wagons.

I wrote Holley to ask if their Blackheart system for LS swaps would fit a wagon, and their instinctive response was “no.” I have a feeling they don’t know, or have never tried fitting it to a wagon. Other than the fuel tank size and location, I was under the impression that the wagons and coupes were essentially the same under the body. Is there anything about the wagon fuel tanks that would cause an issue for duals? Thanks.

I thought only elco's are 9" longer?

Only differences between a wagon, sedan and 2dr are the front frame horns for the bumper (but that changes regardless) and wagon's have different rear frame rails?

Only issue i imagine would be mounts for the pipes behind the rear wheels would be different.

You are probably right. The caminos are definitely longer.

I think you'll be fine. When I built the Pig, I quickly learned that you just can't tell anyone what you're actually working on. When it comes to chassis, suspension, engine, trans,or anything else that's not wagon-specific, just tell them you have a Monte, Regal, Cutlass, etc. People tend to freak out when you stray from the norm.

fleming442, that's been my experience as well. Some of the vendors are like, "Yeah, works on the wagon, no problem." while others are "No, it absolutely won't work on the wagon." Doesn't seem like there's much middle ground. Seems like the only item that's truly wagon-specific is the fuel tank and sender/pickup. Seems like most other parts either bolt right in, or can be made to work with some minor modifications. The vast majority of the aftermarket's experience with G-Bodies is the coupes, probably followed by the El Camino. Sedans and wagons are a distant third and fourth.

Take a look at my car. I used a cheap summit GBody weld-it-yourself kit and ran duals straight out the back. It's been working fine, sounds nice and I didn't even do that good of a job on the install. Now that I have the supercharger and cam, there is a bit more drone on the interior of the car than I'd like but I plan to put poor-man's-dynomat under the carper when I redo that. I would highly recommend an H-pipe though.
