I diagnosed that problem completely wrong, pilot bearing was in perfect shape. The Centerforce duel friction disk broke apart on the flywheel side below the springs....

It was just the center of the disk on the flywheel side so the disk would move around and depending on how it was sitting the car would be difficult to shift.The pressure plate was ok....I'm waiting on some pictures which will explain it better.
