Adjusting the float is not advised because you'd need to take the carb apart. Also, DO NOT USE SEALANT!!! It will be eroded by the gas and cause a vacuum or fuel leak. Be careful when installing the fuel filter housing (if it is not already done) as it is easy to cross thread it, and ruin the carb's main body. When you install the carb, put the fuel line on it first ( not tight, but almost, the line should have the ability to rotate freely) then bolt down the carb to the intake. This way, if there is a misalignment in the line, you can compensate for it and it will bend back in to shape when you tighten the carb to the intake manifold. The same goes for any component with a hard line, like a brake master cylinder, wheel cylinder or radiator (with auto trans cooler).
