Pretzels

I’m not sure if Snyder’s in Hanover is regional. I think they only supply areas that can be reached within a certain amount of time from their production facilities. In other words regional. But if you can get them, Snyder’s Olde Tyme pretzels are fantastic. They used to make an apple and cinnamon pretzel bits that were great, but don’t make them anymore.
Snyder's is sold in stores around here in western South Carolina. Has been for a long time. Rold Gold, Snyders and Utz are the most common pretzels around here.

I haven’t seen Charles chips or pretzels in a long time. I did find them online and it looks like they aren’t sold in Maryland anymore, but are still around and can be ordered online as well.

I find Snyder's overcooks their pretzels often, regardless of type, shape or size. At least it looks/tastes like it to me. I prefer the Rold Gold Thins. Or the Pretzel Rods. Beer dissolves either.

My favorite but hard to find. The local Dollar store only gets like 6 bags a week. I complain "your out of them" they say, "people buy them all up." Dah, I tell them order a dozen, if you still run out, get 18, keep upping it till you don't, then adjust accordingly.

Snyder's chips are too greasy. Their pretzels just don't taste good.

I LOVE THOSE! If you have Shop N Save grocery stores they usually have them.

I'm glad someone has heard of them. I thought I was corresponding from the opposite side of the planet. 😵
I still have one their tins at home. I believe they also made chocolate ship cookies. I used to get them when I was still living in NY.
I can't eat a lot of that stuff anymore for health reasons. All you young bucks are lucky you can chow down on anything your heart desires. 😛

Hey Jack did the Charles Chips guy used to deliver in your neighborhood? Awesome chips and pretzels. And why do the locals in Pittsburgh detest their local beers?!? I load up on Iron City whenever I can. I can probably trace my liver issues to that and Stegmaiers Porter.

You're absolutely right, Mark.
The guy used to deliver in my old neighborhood. I thought the chips and pretzels were pretty awesome. I recall you mentioning about the Iron City beer. You would drive to Pa and fill up the back of the wagon.
Speaking of beer... I remember Dark Horse ale out of NJ. Does that brand still exist? For a domestic beer, it was quite tasty.
I have not tasted the Stagmaiers Port. I guess too much of any brand can be lethal.

Yeah, the big brown truck. My Wife's family used them all the time. When I worked in a Hill's supermarket there was a beer called Old Bohemian from NJ. The regular beer tasted awful but the Cream Ale and Bock were to die for. A real unsung hero that stuff. $.89 a six pack.
