Used it on the o ring for the oil pump pickup. Works great during assembly. Sticky enough to keep parts where they should be, lubricates, but has very low melting point and will dissolve into hot oil. Also great for doing transmission work.

You gonna keep that horrible shade of purple on the block??One step forward, two steps back. Realized after I got done assembling the lower end, I never installed the windage tray. The oil pan I got didn't come with instructions. I know the Holley versions require you to cut the original windage tray down. So I pulled those directions up and was going to follow them. Quickly realized that I have no interference issues with the pickup tube or the pan. I'll take that as a win. Luckily the pan gaskets are reusable so really it only cost me a few minutes of time.
