Yeah that's the way I'm leaning, but the horror stories trouble me. The crappy connections in the harness, pinned wrong in the connectors, etc... plus I don't think I can afford the T56 this year, so that means no car unless I put an automatic in it for next summer. Which means I need the Terminator Max whereas the GM can do it all.

I don't think there are that many horror stories. I think you hear complaints because those are the only people posting. Fb groups I've been in and the majority of problems are operator error/Installationerror

I agree with Tony, I've heard little to nothing of horror stories with Term X. I've heard plenty of Sniper stories though.

The Terminator X is such an easy install- it's about as close to color by number as you will find. What transmission are you using (I forgot). And IIRC you are running DBC, not DBW correct? Are you planning an additional inputs or outputs? Holley advertises that there are 4 of each, but that's not really true because it comes with outputs for the fan and fuel pump, and it has an input for fuel pressure included.

Well, T56, and nothing additional at the moment. DBC, Pretty basic LS swap for the moment. Might put a blower on it down the road

So are you going to use a 4L__E or do you have a TH350/400 to put in?

No matter, get the ECU that you need and be happy. When I bought mine it was an additional $100 for trans control - not really a deal breaker.

That's kind of where I'm at now... can't afford the trans this year, but don't want an automatic... hate to put the car up for a year but it might have to happen. Need to make an adult decision and get some credit card debt from the house build paid down before spending money on toys.

Well Christmas came early, kind of. I was able to order some parts today, but some are on backorder. I got the Holley drop in fuel pump module and the Terminator X system coming. Two more major parts to the swap.
