Just a real quick update on tonight’s progress since I’m on here responding to posts anyways, in cleaning up the disaster after Sunday’s rip and tear session, I found the one really bad piece that required repairing this door.
It’s supposed to be flat and straight along the bottom, but as you can see a lot of that material simply corroded away.
And, despite getting a late start on things tonight, I got a lot (and the hardest areas to weld and grind) done.
Sometimes when I get in the zone and everything’s coming together, there’s no stopping me. Tonight was extremely successful, and I like to think I rose to the occasion given the challenge.
The rest of what’s left to weld out is all on a long flat section, so that should be no problem whatsoever as well. Should be very close to, if not done this part of the repair by the end of tomorrow night.
