Projects from THE COMPOUND

Nope. Just been busy with stupid day job stuff. Only things at the compound for the last couple weeks have been an Audi A5 getting quarter panel and bumper repair and a POS Neon (not mine) that is being put back on the road after sitting for a couple years. Got parked for bad brakes but developed gremlins due to corrosion in the harness from being parked in a wet environment. Neither car are pic worthy...hardly worth mentioning actually  . A couple semi-cool projects in the works though.

Killed some time in the shop this afternoon while avoiding work that actually needed to be done. Buzzed off some of the old paint, caked on bondo splatter and a couple emblems that had been stuck on. Then hit it with a can of gloss black engine enamel. Hopefully it holds up in a working shop environment. I'll take it to work and use it to store odds and ends. Probably keep bottles and cans on the top. I know, nothing special. Just thought I'd bump the thread.

So here's what the S-10 profit got me...

Hobart Handler 210 MIG and matching plasma cutter on the bottom shelf. Even picked up a new cart, gloves and helmet. Still have a little money left over too.

Thanks. I've found that it's really hard for me to save up for the "extra" things. It's just easier for me to earmark my side-hustle money for that. Day job paycheck usually gets gobbled up by mortgage, bills, insurance, taxes, etc.

Glad you like it Pit. The Compound thread is kind of a junk drawer for our projects and it's got the occasional major job that might get it's own thread. This thread might get a bit inactive for a while as I focus most of my attention on this one...viewtopic.php?f=61&t=48659 .

A couple other separate thread projects (shameless self promotion  )...

Thanks for looking and feel free to comment, good or bad.

Haven't wanted to get out to the shop as much as I should. It's cold out there and I'm a big baby. The boss bought a new furnace for the main shop at work and I bought the old one from him.

Why is it awesome? Free fuel.

Not shown is the 250 gallon tank that came with it. More pics when I finally get this heavy b*st*rd up in the air and plumbed in.
