Pretty much all done now. After he got the polish done I started driving it back and forth to work. Just waiting for the title to come in the mail then I'll place the sale ad. Sure is an improvement over how I brought it home.

Have you considered hitting the grill with some trim black as well?

I was on the fence about what to do with that. I actually used some No Touch tire foam on the plastic chin spoiler and liked the look. I was going to do the same with the grille but thought it might be too much black on the nose. I kind of like the contrast of the gray.

In other news; My parents sold their house on the Willamette river and moved to Idaho last week. I guess they couldn't give up the waterfront lifestyle so they bought a place right on the Snake river  . Sweet house and shop in a beautiful setting. Anyway, since my dad has so many toys it's going to require several trips to get them there. The red '68 El Camino went over on a trailer behind the U-haul. He's hitching a ride back to town today for the Fierro. The Bricklin is on consignment with an exotic/specialty dealer where they've been prepping it for over a month so hopefully it'll be sold soon. I've been doing work on his Harley, white '64 El Camino, and an enclosed cargo trailer he recently bought. The Harley will go in the trailer and be towed by the '64 in a couple weeks. Their new house has a 3 car garage attached to the house and a nice 30'x48' shop so he's finally got room for all his stuff. Big improvement over the 2 car garage they had at the marina.

Too bad about your parents moving. Idaho will be quite the commute to visit and it seems like you all worked so well together

That S-10 is not a bad looking little truck. I have been looking for a extended cab one here in the Phoenix area To use as a DD.
I am finding out that there are not very many around here. It seems that most of the used cars of that era wound up in the Cash for Clunkers mess.

It's not so bad. Maybe 7 hours if you make good time. I have a feeling there's still going to be some collaborations. I have plans to move over there in 4 years anyway. I've lived in the Portland area for most of my life but it really has changed a lot in the last few years -- and not for the better. For my own sanity I need to get out soon.

A lot of decent vehicles were slaughtered under that program. They make pretty decent drivers. I've just never been a huge fan of the 2.8 or 4.3 but the Duke is hard to kill. Not sure you could get one in an extended cab though. Mine has no AC or power steering. Not sure there's enough extra horsepower to operate those and still keep the truck moving.

LOL I get the whole " personal sanity " thing. Thats why we moved out to the "burbs" and left the family in the city.

Bricklin ad hit ebay yesterday.

S10 title showed up and I posted the ad tonight.

Wait and see...

Not much action from The Compound for a few days hope your not on a lock down.
