I finally found the carb I've been looking for. It's a 1978 800 CFM that has been rebuilt and ready to plug and play. I pick it up Thursday morning. The carb # 17058253......

What is it out of?
I got a one from 1976 Electra 455 and a 1977 deville with a 425? Haven't research either for flow.

Did a quick search and found that 750 cfm is completely round inside the bore while the larger 800 cfm has a "bump"

Cool find. Congrats.

picked it up this morning and it's as described, fresh rebuild but I don't know what's inside as far a jets and rods. I'll install it later today if I have time and let my air/fuel gauge let me know how it likes my engine. I paid $250 for it so that's about 1/2 price of what a 800 quadrajet would be rebuilt here in Canada....he bought it at the Carlise swap meet and paid $260 US and he said the guy would not drop the price cause it's an 800 cfm...🙂
