That's the result of having too much time on your hands.... You guys crack me up...
I'd like a set of those valve covers, though.

Well this has been a great discussion so I am going to reward you guys. This site has all the Rochester spec sheets, with part numbers, by year and application. It is my go-to source when trying to calibrate a carb to a particular engine. You can pretty much take any Q-jet and set it up like your car came from the factory. Just click on your favorite brand and peruse. Enjoy. http://newagemetal.com/

Mark, you should get a commission from Doug Roe, I knew about his book but I always relied on Cliff's book. After your comments about Doug's book you enticed me into getting a copy of his book which is on it's way...:)

Steve- I can't say enough about his book- it educated me. I know you will get a lot out of it because you already know plenty, but he explains why the things you do work or don't. The book is dated, but so are Q-jets. He starts at the originals and goes right up to the electronic ones so as far as I'm concerned- he covers all models as well as single and two barrels. Best of all he discourages you from making unproductive modifications such as you might find in a car mag or online. I am quoting him when I advise guys that the best carb for an engine is the one that came from the factory. So true!

he has the feed back carbs in his book, those carbs are newer than the ones I work on so all of mine will be covered. My horn gaskets just came in and I plan to grab the carb this weekend from my GP to change the main rods. The book will arrive by Thursday so it's perfect timing. Plus I like reading from a book with pages that you turn rather than from a screen...:)
