The trim is wider by about 1/8 maybe 3/16 on the non vinyl cars and it hides the sloppy body work around the windows if you take off your vinyl top. The trim and glass are one assembly so you will need new glass. I actually just bought a set for my regal, car-part.com is where I found them its like a search engine that searches junkyards for parts 24 bucks a side and 20 for shipping seemed like an ok deal to me considering there aren't any around me and they fetch some good money on ebay if you can find em.
