Finding a radiator for a buck and a half ish is gonna be tough. Aluminum or brass. And a brass one will more than likely need rebuilt. You'll be more money in a brass radiator after finding a place to rebuild it as a good quality aluminum radiator. (Which is readily available)
"You'll be more money in a brass radiator" I appreciate your concern. but I don't really care about the cost that much. If i had the $500+ i would go spend it on a copper one or have a custom one made. I have $1600 into my diesel radiator. Specific to the diesel. GM or nothing.

I'm thinking you can find an original brass radiator somewhere in America however, It will pose to be quite difficult due to aluminum radiators have all but replaced brass ones AND all the old guys who had radiator shops back in the day when brass ones were the norm are either out of business or dead. There must be places for radiators like Cooker tire who specialize in old style tires for radiators.
Yep, kinda sucks for us young guys trying to benefit from some of those shops unfortunately.

Luckily where I live in Ontario, we have a few of those businesses that have survived. One of them got the drain plug for my aluminum radiator same day.

Amazon would have been at least 48 hours which is not acceptable in my opinion.

I’m sure there is at least one shop in MI that would be able to do this.

If not, and you are willing to go for a drive into Canada here? Then give these guys a call first.

They might be able to be of service.

My hat is off to you keeping your original car original. There are not too many time capsules left.
I must not have understood post #17 & #25 where you were wanting to keep the price around the $150-$175 budget. But if you are going with post #31 (quoted above) where you don't really care about cost, I'm sure you WILL find exactly what you want. We all would like to know the result of what you find.

Thank you. that right there is the whole reason why I am so strict and stubborn! 😁 exactly how you said it not too many time capsules left and they are gaining value rapidly. For example look at some of them of the ones from 1984 and newer. I've seen a few decent condition GPs and Cutlass go for 30k+... Can't imagine the pre-80 cars with almost impossible to find interior trim pieces. Aka like Pontiac. I've seen already some fetch 15-20k and more.

I'm trying to get a Window sticker made. but idk if the G-Bodys Pontiac's we're the same as the Firebird/trans am. The Car literally has under 30k on it. Just when i got it past owners changed radiator and gave me the original one in trunk.

Explanation for post #31 my budget was $400+ but things came up and now it's less. I found a website that allows you to call and have a custom made to order radiator with YOUR Measurements for a brand new 3 core copper radiator. Although price is $715. Made in USA too btw!!! 😳

I may have found one. Will update.

It really does. Usually I don't buy items like that from Amazon just small stuff. & yesterday was my 24th bday. Hah. Talking with my father and my dad's friend there should be a local small shop around here that can do my radiator. Hopefully.

While I'm on here... I might as well post and ask real quick. My trunk lid Jack instructions decal is not good shape. Barely readable. Were they all the same for each brand form 78-80? I'd like a new one made. Bumper jack btw.

Yes it was a generic decal/sticker. Do you have the inflate a spare or full size spare?
