Outside of the dash being covered to hide the cracks (assumed) That's one of the cleanest (by pictures) '78. It could grab a top dollar but I'd say closer to $6000. But damn it has bumper chrome, nice interior (minus what the dash cover could be hiding), paint looks really good. Would be nice to spare this one of non-reversable mods.

i want to find a decent 84-88 Mone SS and do just that. I want to to build the car up the way I want it. I am willing to spend around $4k one with a good frame and mostly intact. I personally like doing that kind of work. i wont be keeping it stock or numbers matching so maybe that is why I dont need to spend so much for a G body. I just hope I can find one when I am finally have the space for it.Personally, this is where the market for the G bodies is going weather we like it or not, agree or not. Look at the repetitive history of car values, weather its a 57 Chevy, a 68 Chevelle, or an 1987 GN (just picked a few that came to mind), The price to buy one now EXCEEDS the cost of the vehicle when new by LEAPS AND BOUNDS, so its truly a no shocker to me in my opinion, where the market is going,. i guess experiencing the change in real time is harder to accept than acknowledging an already existing culture of car pricing with the older cars I have used as an example. What I don't get or understand is why people will spend a fraction of the cost for a rusted, interior ripped and dried out, junk motor car, and then sink 15K into it and not think twice, but b*tch about spending 10k for something like this that you can drive home with no issues.....you can spend 5 to 7k for just a paint job today! So in my own PERSONAL opinion, if I wanted one of these cars and it was clean and original, it would be a no brainier. Most everyone has a refurbished or restored car these days, trying to find an all original as this in excellent shape is truly a rare find to say the least. To each their own! ....they are not making them anymore! ......And another thing I don't get is why the very people who own these G bodies always complain when the prices of our beloved cars seem to increase, that's like having money in the bank and complain when the bank raises your interest rate...I'm clueless on this mentality.
