Rear Brakes

Im not able to see how close the brakes are too the shoes. But i tried adjusting that little adjuster until the drum fit on the brakes a little snug.I dont have anyone to help right now so I called myself making a bleeder tool out of clear tube and a bottle. Yesterday I was getting fluid pressure at the right rear. I thought I bled it so I moved to the left rear wheel then I couldnt get any pressure

If you are bleeding into a cup filled with fluid then you can just pump the pedal with out closing the bleeder. But if you have a lot of air in the system it may not be as effective as pressure bleeding. And don't pump rapidly either allow 5 to 10 seconds for the piston bore in the master cylinder to refill. This also allows the air bubbles in the container to get away from the hose.

When I first got the car..I popped the trunk and noticed a almost new looking master cylinder so installed it. I dont know if that is my issue or not because my brakes never worked good anyway.

Did you bench bleed the new master before installing it?

That may be your problem.

you can pick up a bleeder kit at a parts store if you don't have any spare line handy. I wish you had mentioned that you had changed the master since the bench bleeding question is a standard question from many of us and that is why I asked if the reservoir went dry when changing the rear cylinders.
