Ive been looking for a set of doors for the rear compartments in my wagon. I actually thought I had a pair lined up but that fell through. I'd look for them online but as crazy as it sounds Im not exactly sure what theyre called. Anyone know the exact term for those ? Ive always called them cubby doors. Theres gotta be a more correct name. Anyone ?

Thanks for indicating that, Chris. Those are the buggers that we're looking for.
Perhaps if we can come across a half decent pair, we could have them 3D printed. In preparation, I've already bent up a pair of latches for them, thanks to a few members who were kind enough to provide dimensions for them.

Does anyone know if these doors take the standard glovebox door locks ? They appear to.

I never even thought of that, you may be right. Ill check on that when I get home.
As for the 3D printing I may still get around to doing those doors but it depends when I get time to dimension and model. Picked up 2 new project cars so they've been taking up my time

They are 4 wafer locks like the glove box locks.

Stratec (Briggs and Stratton) catalog says 590661 which is the same as some other GM cars glove box locks.

Yellow is same as storage space lock. Red is A body glovebox lock. Looks like they are different lengths.

Hey Blair,
Thank you buddy. You also helped me out to make a pair of rear latches for the doors. I still appreciate that.

Thank you so much for that information and breakdown of locks and parts. That will be extremely helpful. I really appreciate it.
590661 looks to be the right one. Where would many of these parts be available?

Okay so for the lock box it is the lock 590661, with the case 607691.
The glove box (at least for mine) is lock 592258, with case 607850.
Im not an expert on parts and which are easier to find or buy replacements for, but it looks like if I was to 3D print replacements I could make EITHER work.
To get the 592258 & 607850 to fit I would have to inset the knob to be inside the door a little so the latch could reach. Which would look nice when flush.
Although I am still a fan of the idea for universal cam latches

Here, try these guys for equivalent GM part number:

Comes uncoded, but I can help with that.

Cylinder case, 20194374 (B&S 608354) according to the B&S application guide, but not sure which you need for storage.
