i'm going to have to scrounge around at the junkyard to find one then. there might be one on that 4-door regal 🙂

but again, what are jounce bars?

just thinking while cutting the grass, what all is in the f41 suspension option in cutlasses?

f41 consisted of a fast ratio steering box, firmer springs, front jounce bars, fatter front bar and a rear sway bar.

Jounce bars are the supports that run from the engine cradle and are bolted front end of the frame horn.

Like this w/o the bar going across. This is SC&C's improved version that replaces the factory jounce bars.

thanks for the info! but what are the size differences of the jounce bars from normal factory, to F41? just wondering so i can keep an eye out at the j-yard

No size difference, but you probably have them already as the Cutlass had the triangulation links as standard, but the Monte did not. My V6 std suspension car, for example, had them stock. The GP also has a tie bar between the two frame rails that bolts in to the same bolts the tie bars do on the frame rails, and you can add that one to complete the triangle. Another way to think of it is to see it as an isocolise triangle, and you have the equal sides already, all you need is the oddball.

just wanted to show those who are interested how the other rear sway bar fits on g-bodys this was under a 1980 monte carlo and it seems like this shaped bar from my searching only came on the 78-80 montes im not for sure.On a nother note thos running a 9 inch but using g-body lower control arms this bar will work with the 9 inch pumkin the other bar that dips under are rearends wont fit.
