It sounded much better then before the outfitting. i know i know that makes no sense because of the mismatched ports and etc.

...but this is one strange olds guys im tellin ya...

and it runs and is sexier than anything in the parking lot so...im happy with it 😀

i can do further mods when im outta college

Hey looks good. and very clean, thats nice. glad it started on the first go, i wasnt so lucky when rebuilding mine. and it is true, the intake is taking some of your added horsepower away. you may still have gained a little from taking the emissions pump out and adding the high perfomance holley in the end though. but if your happy with how it turned out, whos to argue? 🙂

X2!!!

finally got it outta the garage last night! starts up on the first crank and sounds great!

one problem... because our winter in ohio was so damp, my brake cylinders in my rear drum brakes are froze up...
no biggy because i still have the front disc brakes and it will still stop on a dime. just one more thing to add on the list before i can tear pavement again.

and its also blowing blue smoke. so somehow i have oil in my exhaust...we put new valve seals in it and we think that some oil leaked into the exhaust then. hopefully thats all it is. *fingers crossed*

any pics of the build

I can honestly say that's the first time I've ever heard someone say that a stock G-body could stop on a dime let alone one with non-working rear brakes. That's one really LONG dime!

Agreed! I have all brand new brakes from the master cylinder to the wheels and it really takes some effort to haul my 442 down!

After the first run any oil should really burn off. My 350 smoked a bit on the initial startup but not an ounce of smoke since then. You could have a problem, hopefully not though!

there are some pics of the build earlier in this post.

here are some pics of the almost finnished car.

just need to get the top half repainted. bottom half was done last year
