Guess he couldn't fight both cancer and 2020 any longer. It's always sad but the man was only 65 too.

Listened to a lot of his music in a lot of gbodies through the years, that's for sure ...

R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen. I was saddened to hear of his passing today. He was definitely one of the more innovative guitarists of all time.

Just a shocker. The wife & I turned on the news before 5 today to see they were reporting his death. One of the first rock bands that got me rolling towards the real rock spectum. They even helped push the Jr. Mechanic that way too since GT4 uses Panama as the intro song & he has played the hell out of that game since he started gaming. Now will Van Halen continue or are they done?

They've been done. Much respect to Alex, but there is no VH w/o Eddie.

He was a true pioneer of the 'art of sound' vs the classic scaling of music. We have lost a king.
