Update from this past weekend. Sorry I dont have any pics, didnt get a whole lot accomplished between the beer/golf/and grilled food binge I went on this weekend. I did manage to get the door panels taken off, the door windows removed, all the weatherstripping and trim around the doors removed, the windshield trim removed, the door handles and lock cylinders removed as well. So, instead of accomplishing anything productive, I managed to strip a whole lot of stuff off in order to get ready for paint. I ordered the paint Friday, should be in sometime this week. As soon as I get around to it, Ill have this thing ready for paint, hopefully middle of next week I can start laying the primer and paint. Waiting on temperature to rise a bit. Its winter again in Kentucky right now, so no paint for me.

it's all productive as it is all stuff you need to get done to get to the finished product. Countless hours of any project car are devoted to thankless tasks that few will ever notice unless they are done wrong. It is all progress.

Update April 9th, 2009 With PICS

Well heres what was accomplished today on the project. Got both doors, the hood, and the roof finally sanded down. The roof and the hood are ready to prime, the doors need a little body work done to them. Didnt get any pictures of the work I did on that, but I did get the mirrors, grille and gnx louvers painted satin black. I managed to get some pictures of those for you to enjoy.

Parts purchasing update 4/10/09

Just purchased a new headliner from Mike's Montes, a new complete set of door and trunk locks in black, and new door handle gaskets for project gnx-ss. May do some more body work tonight, but since the weather is turning severe here in central kentucky, I may have to go storm chasing and skip the project for the evening. Tomorrow looks to be good and should be able to get a LOT accomplished. Paint gets shipped out Monday due to a processing delay. So maybe next weekend well have some paint laid.

What are you doing for a hood scoop? are you putting anything there?

eventually I will purchase a fiberglass gn hood, for now, ill run the stocker in satin black.
