I usually am a patient person but>>>>I WANNA SEE PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going for surgery in a few weeks so hopefully I get to see pics before that happens. I plan on making my own fender flares, side skirts, trunk lip and fender vents......hopefully I can do it, if not I will just leave the car the way it is.

Horrible news on paint job.....its going to be a few days...

Ran into a major issue with the paint that was applied to Project GNX-SS. Evidently the primer that I used wasnt compatible with the topcoat. I had never used this primer before, it was the non-sanding type. Followed all directions for spraying and after the topcoat was applied it looked pretty good. However, I went out Sunday evening and went to pull the tape off and low and behold the primer was coming up thru the paint. So, sorry I havent replied as of late, just been trying to strip the paint off, got most of it done today. Should be reshooting a dark gray, no metallic this weekend and hopefully be done by Monday or Tuesday with it completely. I wasnt real enthused about how dark the "bad" paint turned out, but the new color choice is a lot better and no metallic, I dont want metallic on this car, it has always been slated for a gloss paint instead. So wish me luck and Im sorry for building up the suspense. Just been a little upset and been busting *ss to try to strip all this crap off. Dont worry, it'll be painted, correctly, really soon.

dude! that sucks! good luck though, we will be pateint.... for a little while...

April 23rd Update

Just stopping in to let everyone know that the paint has been stripped, good ol razor blade did the trick, lol. Just need a final sanding and a little touch up on some parts and shes about ready for paint again. Will post some stripped paint pictures later this evening.

paint stripping again

Here's the pictures of the paint stripped, again. Lol, the lines you see are the marks from my razor blade scraping technique.
I didnt scrape the fiberglass pieces or the bottom half of the doors or rockers due to the rock protection texture and the softness of the fiberglass.
All I need to do now is sand the car completely again, and then be ready to paint this weekend hopefully. Im keeping my fingers crossed, if not this weekend,
then next for sure. I do have a date with the golf course tomorrow afternoon and have my sisters bday party on sunday, so going to be crunched for time this weekend.
Maybe the first of the week....Ill quit rambling for now........
