Hey you didn't happen to take pics of how you did that dash did you?

I'm planning on doing the same thing you did on the dash, and I was thinking I'd have to make a whole new dash insert... So I'd be interested for a walk through or pics of how you put those in.

I'd pry put the oil pressure, temp, and volts on there too though. I was thinking originally that I'd have to used just the speedo and tach, and put the other gauges where the ash tray is, or on the pillar... But it looks like there's plenty of room. Can you easily read those gauges with them in place? How big are they?

Gauge panel mock-up

Here's a pic of the gauge panel mocked up. Still have some wiring to do and then hooking the speedo cable up into the back of the speedo.

That is so bad *ss looking compared to the stock setup... Better looking than strapping a tach to the column too. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I am loving that dash.

Cooling system issue....resolved

Also installed that new v8 radiator and a new 160 degree thermostat and fabbed up a radiator fan shroud as well. Filled it up with coolant and fired it up. Heated up to about 185-190 degrees and then I revved it up a little and it went down to 160 degrees and idled there for about 20 minutes until I turned it off. Looks like I have solved the cooling issues. I wasnt able to take it out for a spin since the gauges arent wired up yet and I have no speedometer. Ill try to get the gauges wired up tomorrow and see what we have. But I do believe that the issue has resolved itself.

Theres a good picture all cleaned up and ready to go to the cruise in. Unfortunately, I didnt make it due to a mysterious oil leak that occurred about 5 mins from the house. Looks like the fuel pump is spraying oil out of the weep holes and would also be the cause of the starting issues Ive been having. So Im going to replace the fuel pump in a day or two and then Im off to look for some bucket seats and such. Anywho, enjoy the latest picture.

Re: Build Thread Project GNX-SS

Its been a while since Ive posted any updates on the progress of project GNX-SS. Ive been trying to find the time and facilities to install all those suspension goodies that I bought at the beginning of the year, seems as if I will have them installed on October 3rd. Which is great, because the next weekend after that is the big Boonesborough Boogie Car Show that I would like to attend with the car in its lowered state. Im also currently looking for a set of bucket seats and a regular back seat without the pillow back option to install as well as a console and floor shift. My buddy with the light blue Turbo Limited Regal is getting my front power bench seat for his car as the back part of his seat is broken internally. So that is where she stands as of this moment. I also still have to get the timing set correctly, but that doesnt take any time to do, just too caught up in life to get out and do it right now. I will post some suspension installation pics as the job is completed and show a before and after stance picture set as well.
