Looks great! I was wondering about your build a few days ago. Pleased to see the good progress.

Matt,
Everything is looking absolutely amazing. Love the color and the upholstery. They complement each other nicely. Is the center insert a tweed fabric? The headlamp doors came out fantastic.
Hope you're over your flu bug.

Oh man, Cosmichrome rules! I need to send my 80 grille there for a refurb.
The paint and body work looks fantastic. You are very lucky to have found a shop that is willing to take on a detail project.
Thanks for the inspiration. I hope the bug didn't come from having to eat out of garbage cans, 'cause your wallet got flattened by the car project...

Coming along very nicely Matt!

Thanks for all the great feedback guys. Super motivating.

Have been contacted a fair bit about the Cosmichrome Spray Chrome process used on my headlight bezels. For all the contact info for the guy that did the work for me please see this thread:

Would definitely recommend. Not perfect but pretty damn close to.

Engine block now safely at the Machine Shop.

On the menu is stripping it all down bottom end wise, hot tanking and honing the block. Polishing the rods and crank and swapping out to a Melling High Volume Oil pump. Also going to upgrade to a 7qt pan while down there. I don't plan on the engine coming out of the car again so I figured if I am swapping out the top end of the engine to be more performance focussed I might as well do my due diligence on the bottom end and make sure everything is shipshape. I am also going to throw in some hyperteutectic pistons to bump me to a 10.5:1 compression ratio with a set of moly rings to finish it off. Should have some pics of all this stuff soon to share. Seeing a lot of G bodys and old muscle on the road these days in this beautiful weather. Hope to join those venerable ranks shortly.
