i currently have a P275/60/15 on 15x8 rims with a 4.5" back space.

im looking to go with a larger tire. id like to run a P295/65/15
anyone running this size? is a mini tub / frame notch needed? what back space or rim size is used?

thanks

A frame notch is needed but mini tubs are usually not required. I wanted to do this on my 442 for best gearing for my combo and maximum street traction with a drag radial. Had I kept is I would have got it to run 113 to 115 in quarter with loads of low end torque from the long stroke 509. Traction rules on the street and this would have made it an even tougher on the street. BTW in the past I have seen kits to make this quick easy and idiot proof.

i ran 295/60/15's on my el camino. fit with no problems.
