came across this on craigslist for 5000. i know those wheels look like crap in my opinion. I was always curious of how our gbodys would look as convertibles . i dont know if i like it, wish i could see one with it top up.
What all of your opinions on the convertible?

Most of those conversions look great until the top comes up. The trouble is that we're used to seeing the "notchback" design on these cars and not many convertible tops can pull that off. I think I've seen convertible conversions on every 2-door-only G-body (even the El Camino) except for the Grand Prix. In my opinion, they all looked good (with the top down).

I have seen a couple around here that look like that but all they would do is cut the roof off and put a snap on cover over the hole and some material at the top of the windshield to give the look of a convertible but with no functioning top.
It wouldn't surprise me it a bit if it was one of those especially if it was on Craigslist with no picture with the top up.

Looks good as a drop top but totally useless if the top doesn't go up snd you don't live in California.

I think convertible gbodys look weird for two reasons. Obviously when the top is up it doesnt keep the notchback look and when the top is down the windshield looks really weird. The only modifications i would make to the roof of a gbody would be to turn a ttop into a targa top or do this for a kickass show car.

I'd do a hard top show car. Where u can remove it like a targa top, and have a fiberglass shell perhaps?

That's a nice looking donk!
