350 covers are 350 covers, it just depends on how tall or short you want them.

haha no way!! there is some real sh*t out there. allot of them warp( autozone brand) just because they are cool looking and have some neat breathers on them doesnt make them good. i am not bashing chrome at all, i am just saying that there is allot better stuff out there for decent price.

Yes, I agreed with this earlier  Edelbrock and Summit are the best for these. (He was asking if the older gen or newer gen covers were different/better.)

FOR A FACTORY FIRST GENERATION 350, THE VALVE COVERS BOLT ON THE SIDE, FOR A NEWER MODEL 350, THE VALVE COVERS BOLT IN THE MIDDLE. If they screw up oh well. I will get better ones, this is my first motor Ive ever built first experience really turning a wrench if they warp I kept my recept I will send em back and demand a re-fund and get better ones. for now, I like what ive done and Im not trying to build a 450+ hp monster, just a nice v8, anythin is quicker than my little v6 2000 malibu, So all im really hoping for is something fun to work on and something faster than my 'bu

I think you've done a helluva job. Don't worry bout people talkin on here, just get some ideas. A 350 is a good engine any way you dice it, you'll have fun puttin your foot into it.

I really wish you'd get the thing mike'd though. I rebuilt my first engine and it blew a rod 10,000 miles later cuz I didn't. Then it's 400$ to repair + parts cost (= around 700$) instead of a 80-200$ fix (where a machine shop hones the cylinder walls to make it even). It could be perfectly fine, who knows? Just trying to help.

some of the stuff at autozone is ok--the name brand stuff. their stuff is crap though. yeah sometimes it looks easier to go cheap, but i've found that it only costs about 10-20% more to get something decent. and you only pay once.
either way if it makes you happy and enjoy the car, that's all that's important.

eh maybe I should... idk. It will be a while before it even goes in the car.
