How did you mount your motor^

Like an oval car, used the metal tab style mounts for the motor. this pic might help onlything i have at the moment.
The car is caged and much faster now. put down a 6.95 1/8th on a slightly better motor with a 4.10 rear

Basically its just welded mounts. Ideally id like the motor back atleast 10 more inches, but the rules for cutting firewall change drastically.

(the mounting system was not done by me, i bought the rolling shell from a really cool guy who did it on a real low budget without a cage etc. Low budget is the only way to be.) I've had the car 4 years now and done next to nothing with it, besides putting in a cage, moving the seat back, knocking out 150lbs to make up for being a fat driver, slap parts in it and go.)

I like low budget  i was told i could use motor mountes from my monte carlo and swap over. Im going to hope and pray that my headers fit.

I love it. SBC in a ford. My budy that lives n greensburg IN. is about to finish 98 mustang with a 383 in it. Here's some motor pics.

He used a tubular k for a 95 I think, and they offered a tubular mount. It is one if the easiest install I've done. Removed factory CPU, wired battery cable to the main fuse box, and every thing worked lights power accessories. Just had to wire ignition wire to fuel pump

Just got done building a 86 stang with a 580hp dynoed 383 sbc for a buddy of mine. He took it down the road and scared the sh*t out of himself. Lol. Me personally wouldnt own one but it was cool. I used all AJE parts for the swap and dynotech headers.

Don't even talk about mustangs around me... My sisters boyfriend's mustang was just totaled. It was a 2000 mustang, straight pipes, 5.0, bright electric blue (beautiful color), damn it was a nice car. He wasn't driving it, his mom was. Some *ss backed into her, which pushed the car into the path of an oncoming 18 wheeler which ran over the car and almost flipped over. The car was trashed in a matter of seconds, and he wasn't even driving. His mom walked away without a scratch. That's all the mustang I can deal with for one week.

I for one would never think about putting a Chevy in a Mustang, but I can always appreciate the work and craftsmanship of a well done project.
