I hear ya Mike. Actually I was picturing some other type I'd saw years ago which was shaped more like a shorter height factory air cleaner with dual ram air inlets. Can't remember brand ??

Spectre has several different styles. My brother n law has one on his BBC camaro with dual 3" intake tubes to cone filters. We had to modify the housing to clear a 2" cowl, but it works. I won't clog up this thread with pics unless asked.
