so would you think that i would need the short shocks for just an inch
 
My front shocks would have been ok and I only changed the rear cause the spring would pop out if I jacked up the car. The longer rear shocks were not bottoming out in the rear so you'll have no problem with just an inch. I changed my front shock to match the back and I want to lower it just a bit more so to make sure I have no problems
 
Glad I found this, I need to order rear Biltiens for the wagon, which is lowered.
 
i buy Gabriel shocks from autozone or ebay, wherever I get them cheapest. They have great quality and a nice stiff ride. Get the top of the line ones - Ultras

front: 69600
Rear: 69604

most consistent quality and best price I have found for an off the shelf shock. I have been buying them since I got my license. I like the firm ride they give, and they have lifetime warranty.

That being said, Bilsteins are better, and if you can afford them, buy them. Otherwise, I like the Gabriels
