Just do the 2x4 led lights in there own housing just like the old fluorescent bulb ones i did this in the garage and wow way brighter

Look for a good deal on ones in there own housing.

I found bulbs that would direct wire to 120v that would fit in my existing florescent housings. I didn't want to tear them down to replace them. Just got tired of buying ballasts and bulbs.

Yeah, I put (2) 4' lights in a 10'x10' room in my basement. The walls are painted white and it's literally almost too bright in there. I get snow blindness for about 2 minutes until my vision adjusts. Problem is, I tossed the boxes and don't know what the specs are.

To be clear, the ones I posted are complete assemblies, not just replacement bulbs.

Half an acre x $168 a fixture sounds expensive. I picked up a bunch of 4' LED shop lights from Costco. $19 each when on sale. None have burned out in 4 years.

I bought a couple spares...

The box changed last year from blue to green, but other than the cord going from black to white, they look the same.
I daisy-chained 2 sets of four of them into a single switch with no issues. I have not seen them go flickery like fluorescents do when they're cold.
