WOW; You all have some fine looking engine compartments. Mine looks cluttered, but then I like AC and that adds clutter. If you would like to see the inside, please see my (vanrah) for sale post. Thanks Bob Jr.

Here's a few pics of the 406 SBC in my SS after I fabricated a custom fan shroud to house the dual 12" fans and upgraded my alternator, starter, and ground cables. Also cut down the a/c box and glassed it smooth to clean up the engine bay and give me more clearance.

My 81 GP, just a 305 but always makes everyone scratch their heads and say ''what the F##K'' everytime I open the hood.

I've got a couple of those Crossfire intakes hanging on my shop wall that make people do the same thing. How do you like yours? It's an unusual choice.

I like it and it runs better than a stock 305 should, so much so that when it was in my dad's 82 Z28 he swore someone replaced it with a 350. The two big things with these systems that earned them a bad rep was the throttle bodies would get out of sync and no one really knew how to set them , they can be finicky just like dual carbs and the eclectronics of the day just wernent advanced enough for a system like this. Thats why I used a slightly modified 89 firebird TBI harness and ECM. I used it because for one I had the entire setup on the running engine and I like doing things a little bit differently than the same old setups that most other people do.

I . . uh . . what??

You swapped a Camaro/Firebird CrossFire injection engine into your GP? That is weird... WEIRD.

And I like it....
