PPG 9000, 9300, 9700 all are true black-no additional tint hues added. I'm not up to date with what PPG has been doing with each system. But to be honest any supplier that mixes Concept DCC can mix it up, all it is is black tint & clear binder. Other PPG lines would be Omni MTK & Shop LIne that would be cheaper but still a good quality single stage. In my opinion I like lacquer (PPG DDL) but that stuff is not as liked today.
Where might that paint supplier be I'm want dcc 9300 really bad if all else fails I might you Nason

I used to work at a body shop supply store where I mixed paint. They are north of Pittsburgh but I really don't like to promote their buisness as we parted on not so good terms (they forgot I worked for them during my first combat tour & creatively fired me as I was starting to get ready for the second tour.) I am now finding out from searching that Concept seems to be at the end of the line but what you need mixing tint DMC901 Strong Black & DMC984 Clear, mix them 1:1 then you'll have the DCC9300. It has been ten years since I mixed paint but that should be the mix. Other options from PPG for single stage would be Omni MTK9300 or Shopline JAU9300, they will be cheaper. As others have noted you still have many options for single stage from other suppliers. I can understand the diehard feelings for a particular paint system, I love PPG lacquer (DDL) but I have looked into other systems since that is another going away/gone line.

It we pre activation as they didn't like me being away every other week for pre deployment so they nailed me on a work day cause I sold stuff to a customer & that day all of a sudden it wasn't my job to help customers & make them money. Sad thing is the cost of doing so would of killed me.

if anyone has any recommendations on single stage black I really like the ppg dcc 9300 but it has been discontinued
switching from dcc to another single stage some of them may be thinner than you're used to,try it without the reducer.the shop line is on the thinner side of things and it's 4-1-1,i use it without the reducer and it works out nice.just food for thought,

I've used the nason ss before. It's reasonable quality, can look close to clearcoated surface right next to it, but a little more maintenance to keep looking nice in the elements.
I'm doing the southern polyurethanes ss black next. Deeper black & quality of much more expensive products. Great forum to learn from also.

Wow it truly is I just seem it side by side with ppg and it looks darker and price isn't a concern I just think 400 a gallon was ridiculous 200 isn't as bad thanks for the suggestion as far as I know I'll be ordering some tonight what retailer do you use/recommend

I second Southern Polyurethanes. I've never sprayed their black but I've heard it's fantastic.

I just sprayed my El Camino with their single-stage white. I'm just finishing it up now:

I did color sand and buff the car. As sprayed:
