Willkommen Lou.
Nice clean Aeroback Cutlass. Looks like it was very well cared for.
Could you tell us a little history about how you found the car and where it came from?
It looks like it has Buick wheels on it.

Definitely a neat car with some strange option combos. No a/c but it has ralley guages and a clock , and rear defrost on a buttless cutlass? That would certainly be a difficult piece of glass to find no matter what country you're in.

wilkommen von america! eine schones auto!

No kidding... I can find the glass, but nobody wants to ship it to me.

And nobody has mentioned the side mirrors yet...

Welcome Lou! From Houston, Texas. I have (2) Aeroback cars.

Thank you guys!

My slantback is the only one I´ve ever seen! The history is well known: Owner was an old car dealer from Belgium, born in 1928. He bought the car brandnew in 1978 for his own private use. His company was closed in the late 90´s. But he had a collection of twelve beloved cars, mostly European brands. He died in 2004, and later a German collector of historic cars bought the whole collection.
This picker couldn´t handle the Olds, so he saled it to a German US-Car dealer, nearby the Netherland´s border. The dealer restored the old car but could not sell it, because there was a straight six 3.8l in it. He replaced it - now there is a 4.3l V8 in it. The two tone grey is renewed in 2015.

The car is so bizzare, that the reactions are mostly funny. Sometimes I visit some German US Car meetings with mostly Corvettes, Road Runners, Mustangs, Camaros and so on. But the people are mostly starring at my cheap Olds. No enviers, no haters ...

Nice clean Cutlass. An American market import as you don't have seperate amber rear turn singnals.
Yes indeed! Built in the USA and imported by GM Belgium! Nowadays it would not be possible to registrate a car with so-called "Einkammer-Ruecklichtern" (translated: one chamber backlights).

How far apart are Cologne and Bavaria?
....

That´s not easy to say😊

To Aschaffenburg/Bavaria I ride 150mls , to Berchtesgaden 480 mls. The only person from my home town you maybe know is Heidi Klum😆
