Ok, but when it is warm the engine kicks off immediately. Like right now.Sounds more like your not getting enough power to starter or starter needs rebuild
In retrospect I should have been more clear on this point: if you leave it for four hours it is grind grind grind every time. If it has been running and you shut it off for 5 minutes and hit the key it fires right off. Battery was checked and pronounced goodOk, but when it is warm the engine kicks off immediately. Like right now.
If it was the starter, wouldn’t that be a problem every time the key was turned, and not a cold start?
I take your question to ask whether it slows down like a weak battery in winter. No. Seems strong electrical, but just won’t fire offwhat do you mean by grind grind grind .doe;s it turnover slow or fast? or take a long time to start?
I would say yes, the starter seems to be spinning as it should--none of the real slow whuh whuh whuh you experience with a car at -15. When I have some time maybe I'll see if I can post a video. To clarify for everyone trying to help you here. The starter is spinning the engine fast, hold or cold.
That would narrow it down to ignition or fuel.
