I honestly don't know, i haven't removed the intake manifold yet, but because the block is a post 87 ( it's an 88 ), I'm hoping it does, if not can a tap and dye kit solve this problem for me?

I've been reading up on allot of people who have done Flat tappet to hydraulic roller conversions on SBC's, but i haven't come by anything about not having the mounts for the lifter guide retainer (spider retainer).

Alright, i'm an idiot. When i first started on the task of replacing my ignition switch i was miss informed of its location.....and took the steering column apart and steering wheel off

On a scale of **** ups, this ones an epic one, hooo elll shiiit.

So after attempting to re-assmble and failing horribly, i've come to the conclusion that im just going to buy a new steering columb because this thing is fighting me to go back togethor, anybody know where i can get one?? i did find one put my cars a floor shirt not a columb shift

Alright, i'm an idiot.

welcome to the club...we've all been an idiot at one time or another..

and you want to talk epic...I use to work in a club and after work had a few drinks and finished up a motor build when I got home...mixed up the caps but I wasn't too worried since the torque to rotate the crank was within specs...it dropped a rod less than an hour after I put it in the car later that day..😀

I have a spare one and if you were closer I'd give it to ya. You can find usually find steering columns at a wrecking yard. And if I were you I'd still try to repair your column so if you ever have another issue you'll know how to fix it and keep it as a spare.

Thought you guys might find this funny, yesterday i "thought" i had it back together, until i pulled outa my driveway lol.

Every time i take a turn it lays on the horn 😛

And i now have the new custom "steering wheel" ignition, to start my car i can just push in on the steering wheel lol, I'm taking it back apart and trying this again with alittle more info this time.
