off topic.....ss braided lines never even crossed my little mind when I was trying to source out fittings for the manual brake cylinder I installed....would have made that job alot simpler...
Steve, only reason for the braided lines was I was having issues with the stainless hard lines from inline tube. They had to be cut and bent, and basically screwed them up. After messing up two new prop valves,I went back to stock, bought fittings designed for brake fluid, then right length brake lines and done.
Speaking of being off topic, how does one reset a prop valve? The button popped on mine, should just push back in right??

It should just push back in but we did have an issue with one that would pop back out. We ended up holding the pin in until we bled the back brakes and it was fine after that.

I was sourcing the bolts from Fastenal when I worked there since employees got deep discounts! Since then I just go to my local hardware store which has a pretty good selection of stuff.
In regards to the CF braces, I made them with aluminum tubing, and wrapped with real CF tubing.

What is the OD and ID on the aluminum tube for the braces?

I would like to do the same for my el camino

Where did you source the ends?

The aluminum is 1/2" OD .120 wall tubing which essentially makes the ID 1/4". Shop around for it, can be pricey! I bought a 3 foot piece and cut them to 15-1/2" if I recall, then drilled and tapped to 3/8-24.
I sourced the aluminum heim joints in RH threadand jam nuts from speedway motors. You can get steel joints for half the price, but I wanted to ensure little chance for rust.

Those and the M8-1.25 were used alot on these cars! I used to work in the fastener industry so I learned a bunch about the hardware on these cars. I swapped all my fender, core support bolts out to stainless with trick finishing washers....View attachment 151780
Holy moly.....
You wouldn’t happen to have a list of what all you used in there fastener-wise do you?

Legit only used 5 different sizes on the body panels. M4, M5, M6, M8, and M10. All of the stainless hardware are flat Allen head, then with aluminum milled finish washers. Unfortunately the guy I got all my washers from isn't making them anymore, but if you search on ebay for aluminum finish washers it will get you an idea.

Above link (namely, http://www.autobodyfastenersclipssupplies.com/) is dead. If you have good link, please supply. Thanks.

You are right, its dead. They also went by RZ sales, but nothing there either. They might have been on ebay also. Good luck! If you don't need too many send me a list of the pieces yu need. I have quite a few left over from building the M 80 and a big A body (81 Coupe deVille).
