it wasn't hard to fit the infinity's i think the mounting tabs i had to bend a little to set the speaker down a little more so the cover would go back over. they sound pretty good, not much for bass but a good tweeter.. the sub takes care of the bass🙂

I had the opposite experience as I had a really hard time trying to fit the 6x9 kappa speakers ( 693.9i ) in the back of my car. There was no way they were going in without either removing the trunk support rods or cutting the rear package tray. Even with cutting out part of the seatback to allow the speaker to sit flush the trunk rods still rest on the magnets. Although they sound great for the mids and highs I was really disappointed in the amount of bass they produce ( so I put 2x10's in a box ).

heres a link to an earlier thread about installing 6x9's in place of the factory 4x10 speaker

the infinity's i had up front 3.5s I put kenwood 4x10s in the rear they fit good I just had to make room for the tweeter I cut a little of the metal above it to fit. I didn't want the 6x9s hanging too far down so I went with the factory size to I could run a small system under them and leave the rest of the trunk open.

I notched the rear to fit 6 x 9 Pioneer 3 ways in the back and up front I used a component set up with 6.5 door speakers and the tweeters up in the dash where the 3.5 speakers were.

i had to make brackets to sit the 3.5 inches lower into my dash because the tweeter in the middle would interfere with the speaker grille and I also could not get the 6 by 9 speakers in the back because of the magnet with the adapters, the spacing wasnt even close

I'm running Kicker KS speakers up front and rear. Got the 3.5 in front and 4x10 in back. As for fitment, front are fine but backs need to mod the hangers. They are much bigger than stock magnets and baskets. They fit right into the deck real good though. Love the sound and clarity this speakers brought to my system. I also have 2 12" for the bass and damn, I got one hell of a loud, clean system.

im currently running polk 3.5's in the front, and trying to make my mb quart 6x9's fit in the back.. issue with the 6x9 adaptor is the speaker magnet rest on my trunk bars which is causing magnetic interferance and cancelation on the speakers.. make sure if you have those bars like my MC does that the 6x9 is a slim mount.. also, not happy with the adaptors beacuse i can hear them vibrating on bass notes.. think im personally going to go back to the 4x10's in the rear or build some 6.5 pods for the front and delete the rear stage so my sub can flow into the cabin better (sundown audio SA10 ported) hmu if you need audio advice and i'll be happy to help

so which speakers are you guys having luck with fitting with
the grill in the dash i bought some memphis audios and couldnt get em to fit

finally got some free time went out to the garage. messed with them for a lil but but i managed to
get them to fit right in! no cutting or anything involved. jus left the screws that screw the speakers to the grills a little loose so i could play with it to make it fit
