What??

What gets shared here on these type of sites is what worked for someone when doing similar tasks. In this case, it has to do with removing/replacing body mounts. These are all suggested/what worked for me/tried methods but not necessarily truly, guaranteed to work methods. Also, at least it helps by giving us insights into alternative methods if what you tried or planned to try doesn't work. So, just be kind and grateful that someone is trying to be helpful by sharing their experiences.

As for me, I appreciate learning from other's efforts and mistakes. Thank you!!!

For me, I have another El Camino frame prepped, painted, and waiting to be slipped under my '87 Elky once the COVID-19 shutdown ends and the hobby shop opens up. In the meantime, my plan is to spray spray and spray with DEEP CREEP and even combine spraying with the 1/8" hole above hard to access nuts. If the drilling small holes method to saturate doesn't work, I've been giving the "C" cut and weld later solution serious consideration.

STAY SAFE!!!!

If i do mine someday i like the holesaw idea and plugs for the trunk. Maybe someone who has theirs cut open can get some measurements in the trunk so people can cut right over the cage nut.
The one I had to cut out had a bump about 1" diameter x 1/4" tall right over the cage nut. It was pretty obvious it was over the body mount.

There are easy to access ones? Which ones are they?
