Here I am Sunday morning and the parts still aren't on the truck,. It was my wife's birthday yesterday. Anyway off to work on the 454 let's see what today brings.

Back from the builder. Not a very productive day. Out of two motors I only have 7 good rods and pistons. One from the set I'm using has a bad ring lands and the best one from the camper has a sticky wrist pin. Needless to say those 2 are going to the machine shop and we'll see what he says I may end up with one new wrist pin and piston.

There's the rotating assembly from the camper in the metal dumpster.
While I was there I snapped a couple pictures of his car for you guys that like Mopar

I'm guessing there's a lot of stuff like that laying around Jersey now that raceway park is gone hole lot of ponies and no where to run.
So lunch break is over time to get back at it.

So this afternoons project went pritty well considering how bad the paint work is

I don't think I mentioned the bottom of the hood is rhino lined where a hood insulation pad would be. I think it looks pretty good painted

Nothing to report tonight All I did was cut the lawn. I have however been thinking about what all I need to finish the 454 besides money I still don't have a dip stick tube and dip stick. Still don't have a good harmonic balancer. And still don't have the pice the oil filter screws onto or the bolts to hold it on. I'm hoping to to come up with that stuff from somewhere before I need to install them. Tomorrow night I hope to get back to welding on the body

SBC and BBC oil filter adapters should be the same. Steal it off your clapped out 350.

I got a text from my guy today that simply read. Got another one. With this picture

Hopefully it has a good harmonic balancer dipstick tube and one rod and piston if it dose I'm home free!
