That explains it. Not enough guys to do the work right. Seems like First Energy is understaffed for linemen in all their operating company. Too cheap to pay the meter readers they canned for the smart meters in Pa to train them to be linemen to fill those positions. They tried encouraged me at the shop before the layoff but I would of had to go almost 2 years with out steady pay, traveling atleast an hour one way for school if they would of sent me to the nearest class.
Ok guys that do this know what kind of loosing battle I'm fighting here. I'm outside in like 99% humidity. It's like 100° and I'm trying to do base coat clear coat paint work with a harbor freight spray gun no dryer and it rained on my wet base!
No problem at all lol that little storm was just to wet down the booth.... I went back out and blew it all dry then I mixed up my high quality Speedo Coat clear just a little thicker than it should be to keep it from blushing and maybe have it stay on the panels. Then I went to town on it 1 HEAVY WET SCARY coat on the bottom of the hood like really heavy! Then 2 wet coats on the doors and I'm done! I'm not saying it's perfect or even something I would normally do but it don't look bad and I like it!
Now I gotta go threw this all over again to do the other side but not today.
I've seen the pig I've ridden in the pig it doesn't look bad respectable even. As far as power and service. I typed a hole update to this thread and lost it in the last outage.
As many of you know this truck has a tendency to get hot! Well with the 100° heat wave we just went through it's been getting worse and now on cold start it only takes a few minutes for the hoses to be rock hard. But I know what that is what I don't know is if another issue I'm having when it's hot is from the heat or something else every once in a while when it's hot ...not to hot......well maybe to hot but not boiling over it acts like it's running out of gas. But if I feather it it recovers I'm wondering if Im boiling the fuel in tbe intake......
I cant wait to hear the new motor run.
No I did buy a new radiator but it's for the big block and I don't won't to put it in and have that nasty crap go threw it that I know is in that small block
Have you tried flushing the system out? Mabey a good fush with one of those kits that ties into the heater hose and a can of radiator flush would help, provided the rest of the system is good thermostat, fan ect.
