Lab results came back it's stage 2 Leptospirosis she's awake and off life support but she's throwing up now and probably won't be out of the hospital for another week or 2 it's very rare to get only about 1000 people a year get it in the US she probably got it from her pet rat. It won't be here when she gets home. I'm extremely relieved that we know what it is and she's getting better but she's not out of the woods yet and I am absolutely exhausted.

Cleaned out the bed of the truck today so I could use it to get rid of pet rat paraphernalia. Glad that's over. Lexie is finally eating jello and putting stuff like that. unfortunately she's suffering from some type of mental relapse it seems and when she's physically better they're probably going to transfer her to a psych ward. The wife sat up with her the last few nights I sent her to bed around 3:00 today and secretly turned off her phone. I'm thinking about ripping out the upstairs carpet because I don't want to clean it again. I'm thinking 3/4 tongue and groove unfinished at 99. Per foot tomorrow is motor day but idk if I'm going

May seem like small steps, but great progress!

She's got a lot of people here pulling for her, when the time comes hopefully that will give her some encouragement.

As a dad try , TRY not to view these new challenges as demoralizing setbacks - instead TRY to picture each one as another step upwards on a path. Soon she'll be at the top of that hill, where (hopefully) we hear about the gbody she bought online from the hospital and the parts she ordered and is starting to install.

I wish wrong daughter though Lexie is 17 and afraid to drive Lauren on the other hand is 13 and has a car. She wants to know when we're moving to a house with a shop to do a body off on it. With lex I'll take any mile stone I can get last night she got transferred out of ICU because she held down cereal with milk. There saying once she physically recovers you're going to transfer her to a psych ward because they're worried her being mentally ill already the lack of oxygen could have caused damage well she was under and while she was infected. Quite frankly I believe them she's quite delusional and imagining the people are in the room talking about her when she's alone even yelling at people that's got me worried now

Here's a picture of the girls just because I don't think you've ever seen Lexie. So it's Lauren on the left and Lexie on the right

It's a silly picture but it's the best I have of Lexie she normally won't let anyone take her picture normally she doesn't get along with her sister either.
