I blasted my homemade hinges tonight drilled some holes in them and primed them. Once I got them on the truck I realised just how much I don't like them. So I'm going to go back to my original idea. I'm going to find a junk pre 66 bed and cut the last 6 inches of the quarters off I don't even care what year it is round or rectangle lights but for now what I did will work so I'm going to be moving on to something else it has a gate for now so it's New Jersey compliant the fall swap meet is this weekend so I'll see what I can score to keep things rolling. I ordered some front suspension parts from rockauto but there not here yet so I'll probably get back under the hood tomorrow after work and fix the 2 leaks

I did the swap meet yesterday and didn't get much. Sunburn and sore legs mostly. My 18 year old cousin is down for the swap meet so we took him out for sea food at a local co-op first time he ever had fresh sea food...he loves it now. I want to work on the truck but he opened his mouth about the beach in front of Lauren so........ I guess I'm going to the beach instead but I guess that's fine I never take a day off anyway
Wow what a day at the beach! Of course you put to many of my family together (relaxing) and it gets extreme. For those of you who don't know the beaches are closed after labor day weekend this just means no life gard on duty anyway with the storms that have been taking place in the Atlantic ocean it's rough and there's a mean undertow so it's just wet you feet conditions well Lauren got pulled out... So I went in I thank God I saved her and I thank God for the 30 or so men that joined hands to retrieve me when I got pulled back out exhausted from getting her in. It's funny I never thought my surfing experience when I was a kid would save my daughter's life or mine this probably isn't the best place to talk about it but damn another near death for me oh well I'm going out to the driveway and spend some time with my truck wile my nerves calm down.
So much for my swap meet buys. I bought a new Milton tire Chuck with the trigger on the handle and a guage in it.. that broak on the first tire. I also bought a steel light bar bridge like a razor back from a wrecker that doesn't fit on my truck but it was only $5.00 and I didn't really expect it to. I just wanted an idea to kinda break up the hole square box look of the truck. It will work tho once I cut it up and make it a little taller but it's just another project lol keeps me off the beach those relaxing days can kill me!

A stock Olds 307 does better in a truck with tall gearing than a sbc 350, been there, done that. GM had to put Peanut ports in the 454 to make it a truck motor. A 455 is a stump puller by design.

The sea she's a powerful b*tch when she wants to be my first job I was a deckhand on a 32' wood lobster boat and the Hudson canyon nor the mud hole is no place for a kid. I'm actually glad Lauren got to learn a new respect for water today what doesn't kill us makes us stronger
