It's got exhaust but I didn't weld it up. It's raining here and it doesn't fit in the welding shop at the front of the building so I didn't want to lay in a puddle to weld it. Also i don't have the correct alternator pulley spacer and the belt is walking off. I tried getting the junk alternator from the guy I got the brackets from but he wasn't at his shop when I went there so I'll try again tomorrow. I also asked at the auto parts store and when bought new it comes with a V-belt pulley and there's a note in the computer that for my application I must retain my stock pulley fan and spacer... I don't have them. I finished up the vacuum lines and it seems to run well. I guess I'll try again tomorrow. Last night Lauren won the state championship in marching band and tonight they won again in the rain. Lexie.... Lexie is off her meds again.
Tons of good progress in there, I wanted to give you the thumbs up until you got to your last sentence.

I know there's 2 ways to read that, and the pause makes me lean towards the less positive interpretation

Look at all the positive, and hang in there. Slowly I think things are going to come together for you

No it sucks it should all have been done already I miss spending time with my wife and kids every day I drive 20 miles to Jackson and don't come home with my truck ... I'm over it.
I'd suggest going back and reading through.... oh, say the first 5 pages of this thread or so? (I did that for s**** & grins over the weekend.)

When things keep going wrong, or don't come together the way it was expected/assumed they should, it's like a mini kick to the jewels each time. Discouraging doesn't even cover it, believe me, I KNOW.

But seriously, look back at some of what you already did. It's come a long, LONG way from where you started. One piece at a time you're running out of stuff that doesn't fit and doesn't work. Eventually it has to.

Try to keep your head up, and look around at what you HAVE instead of letting what's missing/wrong. The "haves" put you in a pretty good place

Yeah I think I'm just getting depressed because I'm so friggin tired. It's like no matter how much I get done there's still a large punch list in my head I haven't touched. I'd feel a lot better if I could at least test drive it and change the oil.

Here I go again home to use the bathroom and back to Jackson to work on the truck. A machinist I know said he will cut me the spacer if need be so I'm going to meet him there tonight and he's going to take his measurements while I'm welding the exhaust unless Eric gets hold of Andy with the correct parts?? It's all up in the air now.
