Quick update I toped off all the fluids let it warm up and took it for another ride and the shift points seem better maybe that th400 just wasn't awake yet it is the first time it's been threw it's gears in like 10 years. I also got the wipers working....well moving there's no spring pressure on the arms so they go threw the motion just above the glass lol
On my ride I also shifted the transfer case in and out of 4wd and the horrible noises went away so I'll just wait until next weekend to swap out the hubs but only if it's over 20° and not raining sitting in front of the fire this evening trying to regain feeling in my extremities I went on rockauto and ordered new wiper arms for this and a radiator for the 78 Cutlass but that's for another thread

She got me to work and back today! I ran out of work at 4:30 to try and make it home in daylight tho because the headlights weren't working turned out to be bad connections on bolth lights. Go figure I was chasing grounds. So I got most of the lights working only issue is no right blinker with the headlights on but it works with them off? Anyway I crawled around underneath it with a flashlight and the only leak I found besides my homemade exaust is gear oil out of the right front axle tube I guess I'll figure that out when I do the hubs this weekend well if I can. It seems like it's getting better every time I drive it but only time will tell. I still think the rear brakes aren't working maybe air or adjustment I also really want to figure out how to hook up the parking brake unfortunately I'm missing everything for it so I need a parts list on that one schematic, something .... parts truck? I figure I'll get a little done every night after work. More bad wether is on the way so I hope my wiper arms come quickly

Glad to hear it made the trip. I'm sure more little things will probably pop up but the more you drive it the more you'll trust it.
How is that 350 for dragging all that weight around? Ready for that Dirtymax swap yet?

It's not as bad of a slug as I thought it would be but it's no rocket eather very cold blooded but once it warms up and you open the secondaries it gets down the road. I still can't stand how it sounds tho I've got to get the exaust straightened out so it doesn't drive me insane

I remember a while back I had a 74 Chevy with a axel seal leak. It turned into a front outer axel rebuild. If I remember right on a Dana 44 you have to pull the king pins and take the yoke off to get the axel out. You probably have a 60. Best of luck, but be prepared.

It's a 60 and I've never done one before
