static drop - gotta make some skid plates

This isn't the best pic but hopefully it will help. You can see the upper spring pocket(red arrow), the upper isolator would be a rubber ring that is the same diameter as the pocket and the pigtail on the spring. Since I cut the springtail off the diameter of my spring is much larger now. The original spring isolator was cut and ziptied(blue arrows) multiple times to the spring(to make it conform to the larger diameter) just to act as an isolator between the new diameter of the spring and the part of the frame it now comes in contact with.

If you cut the spring, you will also need to center it yourself as you put the weight of the car back on, since the pigtail that used to do that is now gone.
