I haven't looked at the Caprice shaft, but will assume that it is circular at the joint like most others. If you are unable to measure the diameter directly, wrap a string, piece of paper, or some other item around that can be marked, measure that length, then divide by 3.14 for the radius, multiply by 2 for the diameter.
