No problem man.

Alright here we go, current project on the Cutty right now. I opened my trunk about a week ago and found that my capacitor, and one of my amps was wet, as well as the carpet. So, I got a little paranoid and decided that I'm going to rip the trunk and back seat apart, find the leak, fix any rust and or rot, and undercoat everything for good measure.

Here is about the worst of it. Under the back seat. I'm in the process of ripping the peice of seam sealer out, cleaning it up and re-sealing it.

Almost the same thing on the other side underneath the back seat.

Here is the trunk about 90% undercoated. I think it looks pretty good!

I did find out where the leak is, it is right under the rear window, under that removable panel. One of the seam sealed joints is screwed up, so I have to take the rear window trim off and re-do that.

Re: Cutlass on a budget build thread

Good build for 16 yrs old congratulations. If you didn't replace your torque converter that might be something to research upgrading just in case +++

Wheel/Tire looks to be in good taste btw

Thanks man. Yeah, I definitely need a new converter, just haven't had the coin to do it yet. There is a guy around here that will take mine and build it to whatever stall i need for $150.

Re: Cutlass on a budget build thread

I'm wondering what kind of mileage your 383 gets. I had always wanted one but gas mileage is definitely a factor for me lol

Anywhere from 15-17 mpg

Re: Cutlass on a budget build thread

well from my point of view the unique sound a 383 makes is really the only thing to justify itself. Otherwise I would just assume stay w/ regular 350 & save gas. So in other words: lets hear it !

I really don't like those mufflers, so when the budget allows, it's flomy super 40's and exit them behind the tires.
